The sumptuous stitched textiles of Mairi Brown have always been popular at Concrete Wardrobe. However, the 'Mairi B' diffusion range is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of her embroidery and sewing prowess. This month, Mairi Brown launches a new website to showcase the broad reach of her talents. Free-hand embroidered wedding dresses, wall panels, cushions, coats and waistcoats. All produced over the past 20 years by Mairi's capable hands, at her studio in Edinburgh. Each of these items is produced with the same dedicated care and attention as her individually embellished and embroidered 'Birdie' brooches and purses, stocked at Concrete Wardrobe.
'Birdie' purse £26. See the new website here.

This weekend the Abbeyhill Colonies in Edinburgh open their doors for the 7th Annual Colony of Artists Exhibition. Three Concrete Wardrobe artist/makers will be participating in the event. Mairi MacSween, Katherine Emtage and Mairi Brown will be exhibiting their work collectively, in MacSween's beautiful colony flat. Here's a wee taster of their work. A broad selection of their work is also available at Concrete Wardrobe.

These new pieces by Edinburgh based textile designer Mairi Brown have just arrived in stock.

These pieces compliment an already strong fan base here at Concrete Wardrobe with her popular machine embellished Bird Brooches that have been gracing our shelves for the past wee while.

We hope you like these original fun and practical pieces as much as we do here at Concrete Wardrobe.
